I bought a music player

Guess what music player bought today? Naah, it is not the iPod (or Zune). Just bought an old school radio. The one that tunes to an FM radio station and plays music. It is an alarm radio. So instead of the irritating beep beep sound of the alarm, this one will actually play music when the time is due.

The operation is pretty simple. Just turn the radio on, connect to a music station and listen blissfully unaware of all the fancy schmancy technologies. No need to screw around with syncing the iPod with iTunes, software upgrade or any of that bullshit.

I even played the radio in the auto on my way back from the store to much amusement of the auto guy. I guess the last time he saw someone playing radio in his auto might have been 20 years ago :-)

Cost – Rs. 200. Company – Kchibo.

(btw, I have used both iPod Nano and iPod touch to know they can’t do what this radio can do)
